How to Get People to Your Web Site

The more people who know about your web site, the more business you can expect it to bring in! Sounds pretty simple, you say? Well, I guess you might say that, but be assured it will take time and effort on  your part to make your web site into a thriving business asset.

You might start by dropping your business card on restaurant tables, store shelves, restrooms, posting them on public bulletin boards in stores and restaurants, at church...in other words, anywhere you can think of!

Add web site information (www.yourname.com) to any and all advertising, business cards, footers of letters, e-mail signatures, for-sale signs, post it in your office window where passers-by can see it, and anywhere else where it might draw attention.

Tell anyone who will listen to go to your web site, and hand them a business card as you're telling them to visit the site. Even if they can't write it down, people will remember your URL and WILL go there just to satisfy their curiosity.

When speaking with someone on the phone, work the conversation around to your site and mention it's URL. Ask if they've seen the site and urge them to take a look at it.

Purchase promotional items, such as pens, pencils, license plate holders, hats, etc, and hand them out...they're a tax write-off!

Add new content to your site often! Search engines LOVE new content and will crawl the site more often.

Add community information to your site so it will show up in search engines when someone searches for things other than your site.

Overall, just about any way you can get your web site viewed is a good thing.
