Nicknamed the Evergreen State, the Puget Sound area of western Washington state is widely known for it's spectacular beauty and is surrounded by the majestic Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges. 

While having wide open spaces and plenty of flora an fauna, the area is densely populated in and around it's cities, as is common to the United States everywhere, but the western Washington  holds a different breed of people! 

If you live in the Puget Sound area, you probably love water, trees, and nature in general, since our beautiful state has approximately   lakes! Each county within the Puget Sound area offers unparalleled beauty of it's own.  While out for a drive, you can expect to be surrounded by incredibly huge fir and cedar trees, with a sprinkling of Madrona, Alder, and miscellaneous pine. 

Washington state's flower is the Pink Rhododendron. While being the state flower, the rhododendron is also a favorite for gardeners everywhere, seemingly worked into a vast majority of landscapes to produce a spectacular multi-colored show for several weeks each spring.

Many points of interest in and around the Puget Sound area can be reached more quickly by ferry, including Victoria, BC.

The Washington State Ferries service has different time schedules for each season, so be sure to plan your trip accordingly. Many locations boast Bed & Breakfasts in fabulously renovated Victorian era homes.

While traveling in the area, you'll want to be sure to make the time to see the beautiful San Juan & Anacortes Islands and Port Angeles.
